What Is Industrial Open Shelving?
Republic 2000 series steel open shelving units have open sides and backs. This allows for access from all sides. They allow light to penetrate a storage area and allow for free air flow around stored materials. This style of shelving uses cross braces on the sides and back to provide support to the shelving unit. Open metal shelving is available in different depths and widths. We stock our clip shelving in our standard Dove Gray finish. The powder coat paint finish will protect your industrial open shelving from everyday use.
Uprights and Sway Braces
These 2000 series steel open shelving units come with either beaded or angle post uprights. Beaded posts will only be used on the front side. Republic roll forms the posts from 14-gauge steel for maximum strength. The back and side sway braces help to stabilize each open metal shelving unit. Republic punches the 12-gauge steel sway braces so that you can easily attach them to the post uprights with nuts and bolts.
Starters and Add-Ons
You can use Republic 2000 series steel open shelving units as standalone units or with add-on sections. Join add-ons to a starter to create rows of shelving. Adjustable Shelves
Our versatile 2000 series steel open shelving units come with fully adjustable shelves. We roll form the shelves from 20-gauge steel. Our shelf design features box formations in both the front and rear of each shelf. These heavy-duty shelves can hold up to 850 lbs. Each shelf sits on 4 compression clips that we form from 13-gauge steel. The Republic clip design lets you easily adjust these steel open shelves on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers.
Republic has a huge selection of accessories to get the most out of your 2000 series steel open shelving units. We make shelf dividers to create dedicated areas on a shelf for products. There are steel and plastic shelf bins for storing smaller loose items such as parts or hardware. Get label holders so people can easily find stored items.
